I know this is a strange question, but .....what is the manner in which soft drinks are drank in Ireland? Is it a problem like in America?
There's not the same culture of "post mix" drinks in Europe as in North America. Post mix machines (the "taps" with cardboard cups) are normally only seen in fast food restaurants. If you go into a corner shop (convenience store), you'll be either buying a 330ml can or a bottle (often 500ml) that can be closed and saved for later.
So you don't see people walking out of a shop with one of the infamous "Big Gulp" cups like you do in America. In fact, there's hardly even a fast food restaurant anywhere in Europe that will serve a portion that large.
