Possibly, but so could many other words starting with d - such as 'dairy' in English. No disrespect at all meant but such speculation is unlikely to resolve your question. You need to do some serious family research as Breandán pointed out. He correctly pointed out that there were several waves of Irish exiles. So perhaps you are related to one of them - or perhaps not at all.
