Does anybody know of any well known poetry books in Irish?

Sure, there are lots of great Irish poetry books out there.

I recommend "Favourite Poems We Learned in School As Gaeilge". It's got a good variety of great classic poetry that you will definitely enjoy – if you like Irish poetry, that is.

My favourite is "The Pleasures of Gaelic Poetry", it has a collection of poetry from different eras.
It's really good as an introduction to Bardic Poetry. It can be hard to get your hands on it though.

An Guth is a mixture of Gaeilge and Gàidhlig, but you get used to the Scots Gaelic quickly enough if you read the poems out loud.
