mick15, I just wanted to check something.

From your original post, I took it that you had received these messages from someone and were trying to translate them from Irish into English (unsuccessfully via Google) and also trying to work out which dialect they are in.

You don't really need to translate "thank you my love" or "i am so in love with you" from English to Irish, so much as to decipher the messages you received.

Is that correct?

yes i would like to know what dialect the phrases are but to be honest
they both turned up on my facebook page as comments from a friend the second one was out of the blueand i recieved that one first off all
and thesecond one was out of the blue after giving the person a birthday wish ..

I don't think there's anything terribly dialect-specific about either of them.

I thought he'd had the English translated at Google...didn't catch that someone had sent it to him.

To be fair, it wasn't exactly clear either. He only said he "had" the messages and I wasn't sure if he meant he had received them, or if he just had them in mind and wanted to send them. That was what prompted me to ask.
