I went from GCC to Gaoth Dobhair for the weekend prior to going to Gleann Fhinne for a couple of weeks. You could probably hitch a ride with someone from the school. I rented a car (dirt cheap) the whole time I was there so I drove my self and another fellow around Gaoth Dobhair for the weekend. We also stayed in Teach Campbell and I enjoyed speaking Irish to the Bean an Tí ansin.
When you get back there will be no excuse for you to not Skype with me. I Skype weekly with 3 people I met in GCC and GF. Bíonn Skype seisiún agam gach domhnach 's oíche Céadaoin. It is all good. Don't be a perfectionist! Just speak and enjoy this great language. That is the BEST thing you can do to promote its welfare.

Remember when you want to say "your welcome" in Gleann Fhinne, they feel it's only proper to say, "Go dhéanaigh a mhaith duit" (That's exactly how they pronounce it whether that's correct grammar or not). It will make them rejoice and know you're speaking the best Irish of Gleann Fhinne. Also, whenever you leave the house in the morning for school just say "Ar ball a chairde". That's their "See ya later guys" phrase. Please also say hello to Michael Doherty, principal of Scóile Choimhin, there in the Gleann. I became so at ease speaking in Irish through conversations with him. He drilled irregular verbs in my brain as we took long walks as a group after class.
