If you’re going to get it tattooed, I hope you realise that you have a few words misspelt in there: a missing accent over a letter is just as wrong as a wrong letter in Irish. I’ve added the accents in the quote here, and highlighted the letters that needed them in red.


Pronunciation will vary quite a bit, depending on which dialect you choose. An approximation in Ulster Irish would be:

As noted by kk, you cannot drop the accents in Irish without changing the meaning.

Thank you for your help-I knew of the accent marks but am unaware of how to make them directly over the letters on my computer. (yes, I am capable but not proficient on my computer!) :-/
