Good evening. I am trying to get Ulster Irish translations for the following two phrases for a tattoo:

"May the circle remain (be) unbroken"
"The tie that binds"

Gurab iomlán an ciorcal or gura slán an ciorcal is the best way I can think of to say this.

Iomlán is ‘whole, complete’, while slán is ‘safe, healthy, untarnished’; either can work for ‘unbroken’ here.


You’ll have to explain what exactly you mean by this—it’s too vague to translate. Do you mean like a link that binds two things together somehow?

An nasc a cheanglaidheas would probably work for that (a cheanglaidheas is pure Ulsterism—a cheanglaíonn or a cheanglaíos would be the standard orthography way).
