I got a pass in pass Irish in my Leaving Cert around 15 years ago. I haven't used the language since then. I now wish to learn again but I'm not interested in learning in a formal theoretical manner like when I was at school and would insist instead on learning by listening. This worked really well for me when I learned Swedish.

Are there any Books out there in both Irish and English. For example, where the right hand page is in Gaelic and the left page in English? That way if you get stuck on a Gaelic sentence you can check it on the English side.

Are there any Easy-Readers os Gaeilge? For example, when I learned Swedish I could rent out books that were marked as pertaining to particular level of proficiency. These books were written for adults.

Are there any E-books out there that can be read for example on an iPhone?

Are there any Audio-books out there? Are they complemented with learning material? Audio-books are really good because they force you to understand native speakers speaking at their normal speed.

Ultimately it would be best with an audio book which is complemented with an English text book. In the English book, each sentence could be marked with the time at which the sentence occurs in the audio book. That way it would be easy to figure out what a phrase means when you get bogged down listening to it.

What material would you recommend me? I'm mostly interested in Audio-books but am interested in what is out there in general for someone at my level.
