If you're in Canada, can you tell me how you type fadas on your computer? Do you have an ALT GR key, as the Europeans do, or do you have to resort to alternative keyboard layouts or ALT codes as we do here in the States?

Canada should be easy because French is a national language there, Quebec, and has all the accents you need.

Not sure about that. I have a 'clavier français' and I had to create a special 'síneadh fada' button on Linux... As far as I can tell, the French keyboard gives you buttons for the French accents and nothing else! Ask Lughaidh about French keyboard with windoze... am not sure.

That's the big problème I have here - how to put in the fadas - why don't they have them incorporated into the keyboard somewhere. Bríd Mhór said once that she has a toolbar with them all there (hidden up her sleeve no doubt. This is what I've got -

This is surely a pain!
Maybe you should migrate to OSX!

I believe you can now run Mac OSX on most PCs

It is called Hackintosh.

Good Luck!
