On listening to Julie Fowlis' lovely version of this song in
this thread, I noticed someone had tried to write an Irish version
here.
Unfortunately it has a few errors, most notably the lack of vocative case where the singer is addressing the Blackbird (think of the song
An Bonnán Buí, which starts with
A Bhonnáin Bhuí, ...).
Here's another attempt at a (reasonably) singable translation:
