Hi, I am looking to get a flag made for the Liverpool v Celtic match in the Aviva Stadium in August. I was thinking of using something like "Tá lá an gcóir ag teacht", which by my estimation would translate to the day of justice is coming. I just want to confirm that this is correct. Any help would be appreciated.

Should be lá na córach I think, or maybe lá na córa.

Edit: Just had a look in the dictionary - lá na córa would be the standard, lá na córach a dialectical variant, at least in Donegal. Lá an chirt would be another option.

Tá lá na córa ag teacht.
as a translation of same... but it sounds just a little strange to me in Gaelge....
...sounds like a good days sailing is on the way...

You could also perhaps consider, slightly longer though:
Tá an lá a chuirfear rudaí ina gceart ag teacht.
The day things will be put right is coming.

How about something a little different.
I assume that the day the banner will be unfurled will be on "the day of justice" itself, so perhaps it should read "The day of justice is here!"

Strictly speaking "lá an chuntais" means the "day of reckoning" but that sounds much more dramatic than "day of justice" to me.

@MacBoo It won't be on the day of justice itself, it is in solidarity with the families of the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster who are still fighting for the justice they deserve 24 years on. The word justice has to remain part of the phrase also. Thanks for your suggstion though

Ah sorry, JFT, I didn't know it was to do with Hillsborough. A tragic day. I truly hope that finally there will be a "day of justice" for the families.
