Greetings! I'm new to ILF, moving on to greener pastures after a few years at IGTF
I'm sure I'll be seeing many familiar names on this forum, though I doubt how familiar many of you will be with me. Historically speaking I've not posted much. This was because, although I requested occasional words translated from English to Irish Gaelic, I had no interest in actually learning to speak the language. At this point, however, that is beginning to change.
I may not be able to devote too much time to learning, or helping others learn once I've progressed a bit. This is because I'm a college student, husband, and father of two fantastic children. I will be more active on ILF than I previously was on IGTF, because I am developing an interest in learning the language and furthering my knowledge of the culture of my ancestors
As far as introducing myself as a person... I'm in my mid-20's. I've been married to my wonderful wife for nearly eight years. Our daughter is seven and our son is five. I'm a college student studying biology, with minors in chemistry and English

I have many pets, including a Great Dane who is 200 pounds and a chihuahua who looks nearly identical to his larger counterpart but weighs a mere nine pounds eight ounces

I have a passion for reptiles, particularly boas, and I'm an avid coin collector of certain series of coins.
Aside from that, I have many variegated interests

Time prohibits my naming them all.
Thank you for allowing me to join this community. I have fond hopes of enjoyable conversations in the future
Blessings,
Scoot
