I've read about other research that used the footbridge test and reaction time to work out another correlation - psychopaths don't even pause to think before pushing the man off the bridge.

The tests are flawed, of course, because in real life there would be other options like throwing a rock on the line. The truly morally heroic people are the ones who, in the absence of other alternatives, would throw themselves in front of the trolley to save all six. Occasionally in real life you hear about such people but how many of us could and would make that decision in time?
