What is the function/meaning of the word "faoi" in the sentence "sin a bhfuil faoi" and how does it help give the sentence its overall meaning?

I suppose "faoi" would be translated as "about it" when the meaning is "concerning".
(in Donegal they'd say - "fá dtaobh de")

Why is a preposition used? I don't know.

Because it's Irish, and a sentence without a preposition just seems wrong somehow.

Would the translation of the sentence be: "That's it so" or "That's all so" where "faoi" you be like "so" and therefore having no real meaning?

Would they say "sin a bhfuil fá dtaobh dó" in Donegal? I recognise "fá dtaobh dó" as something they say quite a lot up there.

Sin a bhfuil faoi = that is all about it.
(pretty much literally)

More idiomatically perhaps, "that is all there is to it" (or "about it", "under it", etc., depending on context.)
