Is there an ancient symbol-text or current translation for the Mythical creature: Phoenix? I would surely appreciate anyones help here.

Since the phoenix belongs to Greek (and probably earlier Middle Eastern) mythology, there is no native Irish word for it. The loan word is:

Féinics

Likewise, no native symbolism exists although the usual classical mythology would be understood from the borrowed term.

The verb ardaigh means "raise", as in the expression "to raise up". If what you want is "arise" in the sense of a phoenix arising from the dead, you would use the verb éirigh:

Éirigh ó mhairbh! Arise from the dead! [as a command]
D'éirigh an féinics ó mhairbh The phoenix arose from the dead.

Your answers are excellent and I am not sure if I should post a new thread regarding a new question I have with "risen."

I will ask here: What would be the translation for "He is Risen or I am Risen" really I am interested if Irish grammar uses stand alone words either colloquially or definitively and would be interested if and how Irish would say/write: "Risen," on its own as a standalone one-word sentence.

If I should post this as a new post, please let me know and I will.
