I've just received this in the post (La Poste, as we say here) from Read Ireland.ie (aka Gregory Carr in Clontarf) via Amazon.fr - it's called 'An Teanga Bheo - Corca Dhuibhne' and it's by Diarmuid Ó Sé (now where have I seen that name before?) ISBN 978-1-85791-753-6 An Gúm
(PS it's only in Irish, so I'm going to need to be concentrating on it - it says on the invoice that I was supposed to get a free copy of An Prionsa Beag, but it wasn't there, but as I already have it and anyway, you here tell me that it isn't translated the way it should be, in spite of the reputation of the translator, who was even an important member of the Irish Collège here in Paris, is cuma liom)

Yeah, An Teanga Bheo: Corca Dhuibhne is fine. It's kinda résumé of Gaeilge Chorca Dhuibhne, written by the same author (you can order it on Litriocht.com as well as an Teanga Bheo).

It's really useful actually, I had it with me the whole time I was in Corca Dhuibhne. Basically it gives you a good run down of some of the ways they use verbs and nouns. I also found the introduction to the numbers quite helpful.

No don't worry - he's written back to me in a most polite manner - and he has quite a few books in Irish for sale, so he might yet turn out to be very useful.
