Just to get this section started, I though I'd post some interesting names for St. Patrick's Day from Scotland.

St. Patrick's Day, or Là Fheill Pàdraig Earraich [St. Patrick's Day of/in the Spring"] has several other names in Scottish Gaelic:

Là nan Trì Sealladh ["Day of the Three Sights"], because three sights may be seen on that day: harrowing, plowing, and sowing.

Là nan Seachd Oibrichean Fichead ["Day of the Twenty-Seven Works"], because twenty-seven different kinds of work are done on a farm on that day [I don't have a list of them]..

Bump for St. Patrick's Day.

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.
