For the second person (singular and plural), the imperative just translates as an order (Finish!, Look!, e.t.c.)
For the other persons it translates as
Let me/him/her/them/us finish/look/e.t.c.i.e.
Bím Let me be.Now, this is not
"Let" in the sense of
allow. The start of the bible might help:
Bíodh solas ann Let light be, Let there be light.
The meaning of this
"Let" is most easily seen in the first person plural:
Bailímís Let's gather.
Téimís Let's go.
