Hi Redwolf,

I realise that my message wasn't diplomatic, but this was reflecting that I was annoyed that I'd have to ask.

I've never heard of this issue before and it's certainly not evident from the thread that links to the problem were in your original post. In fact, going through the thread, the fact that Saoirse had to provide this 8 hours after your post gives the impression to someone reading the thread now that they weren't there.

Briain.

This featured on RTÉ news this evening. Go to 43:50 in the clip on RTÉ player; the item is about two and a half minutes long.

Nice of you to peg us as blind sheep signing petitions. It was all over the media here, all over facebook and in newspapers. Maybe you were still in winter's hibernation?

This merchandise might offend some people and they just look tacky and pathetic to me...and if people want to wear them that's their own stupidity. But personally I am not too offended by it. I agree, if these were messages written about the Jews or Muslims than there would literally be War. I don't like the idea of political correctness, personally I think its just ruining the world and hiding the problem of racism. In Ireland your best friend is the person that takes the piss out of ya the most and I like it hat way.

Maybe not in this case but people get offended about things way too easily.

Quite a lot of Irish people would take the selling of this junk as a great big joke, just like they take the Irish language as a big joke, and most everything else too. Probably they are alone in this way of thinking. Well the joke is on them, how can anyone take us seriously with such an attitude ?
