Hello all,

I am looking for a translation of "I hold you in my heart"?

If it makes a difference, the "you" in the phrase refers to a baby son and daughter who have passed away.

One thing I like about the word "hold" in English is that it refers to both a physical object (such as a body) and an abstract one (a memory). If possible, I would like to try to capture that double meaning.

Thank you,
Ishmael

Beirim i mbaclainn mo chroí sibh
I carry you 'in the arms of my heart'

(Your 'baclainn' - the 'm' is added to it above for grammatical reasons - is the crook of your arm, where you'd hold a baby.)

Thank you for that translation. I really like the way you expressed it; it really captures what I am looking for.

Regards,
Ishmael
