Can you please put the word baineann in an English sentence(s) in order to explain for me the word when used in everyday speech. Please don't mutate the word. i.e. use exactly the word "baineann".
Thanks!
Bain - is one of those multi-use words/verbs.
Baineann sé a chóta dhó.He takes his coat off.
(dhó - Conamara Irish)Baineann sé fataí.He digs patatoes.
Baineann an ghaoth fhuar an ánail dhíom.
Baineann an asme an ánail dhíom.The wind/ashma takes my breath away.
Bain amach- also means to "win" or to "reach".
Probably not used as often in present tense.
Baineann sé amach Áill na gCaorach chuile lá roimh am lóin. He reaches Áill na gCaorach every day before lunch. (possibly used more in sailing, but not excusively)
