'Go mba fada buan tú' nó 'Go mba fada buan thú'?

Táim ag smaoineamh canúintí difriúla atá i gceist agus ceapaim gur 'tú' an caighdeán. An bhfuil an ceart agam?

In the standard I'd say it's "thú" in this case.
Isn't it "go mb'fhada" too :?:

I don't know; it's not a phrase I am properly acquainted with. It came from a woman with Conemara Irish whose spoken language is beautiful, but whose spelling it iffy - she says it herself!

Something like what Spock might say, "Live long and prosper"!

I've heard it used as a toast to the bride and groom as "go mb'fhada buan sibh" meaning "may you live long". ''tú" is probably standard and ''thú" more colloquial.
Another idiom with "buan" that comes to mind, is "más buan mo chuimhne" or "if memory serves me right"

Well, it's a case of tú being the standard according to the caighdeán, but thú being almost universally preferred among speakers.

Go mb'fhada an leagan ceart sa chás seo, ach más caighdeánista t(h)ú, gura fada ba cheart a bheith ann. :D
