Hi Guys,

My Civil War reenacting unit are going to be donating flowers to be placed on the New York Irish Brigade Monument on the Gettysburg Battlefiled.
We will be adding a card with the flowers and I would like it to have an Irish blessing.

I have heard of a blessing that says something like;
May they sleep in the company of saints, and their sons and daughters with them

If this is the correct blessing could someone please translate it into Irish.
Also if there are other suitable, one line blessings that people know off I would love to
see those as well.

Two very common ones:

Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh acu ("May they have a bed [= sleep] among the saints" )

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anam uasal ("May their noble souls be at God's right hand")

I have never heard it,

Go gcodlaid (siad) i gcuileachtain na naomh agus a mic is a n-iníonacha i n-aonacht leó (GM)

Go gcodla siad i gcuideachta na naomh agus a mic is a n-iníonacha in éineacht leo (CO)

Go gcodlaid i gcuideaċtain/ gcuileaċtain na naoṁ agus a mic is a n-inġeanacha i n-éineaċt leo (SL)

May they sleep in the company of saints and their sons and daughters with them

Alternatively,

Go gcodlaid i gcuileaċtain/ i gcuideachtain na naoṁ lena macaiḃ is lena n-inġeanaċaiḃ (SL)

May they sleep in the company of saints with their sons and daughters

Go gcodlaid i gcuileaċtain na naoṁ agus a mic is a n-inġeanaċa leoḃṫa

May the sleep in the company of saints and their sons and daughters with them

Go gcodlaid i gcuileaċtain na naoṁ agus go gcodlaid a mic is a n-inġeanaċa (i n-éineacht) leoḃṫa leis

May they sleep in the company of saints and may their sons and daughters sleep with them also
