Hello, I'm new here, i just wanted to get some opinions on translation for a tattoo i want to get.
A translation to basic irish would be great...or sottish gaelic.

Dare to be different

feel free to change slightly for better translation.
thank you very much!

It won’t be as nice and pithy in Irish as it is in English, I’m afraid …

Bíodh an misneach agat le bheith difriúil
‘have the courage to be different’

Always wait for at least three people to agree on a translation, especially if it’s for something permanent.

My translations are usually GU (Ulster Irish), unless CO (Standard Orthography) is requested.

Perhaps we could just change the structure to the result and leave the "have" to be implied:

Misneach le bheith difriúil "Courage to be different" implying "Have the courage to be different"

Await further input ...
