I know it's a stretch, and it would have to have gotten corrupted a good bit along the way -

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

I wish I could give you more useful info, but "Bathagoosheen" is the word as we use it now. Anything you say is probably closer to reality.
