How's everyone doing I'm trying to check the validity of a quote for a tatto.
I want the tattoo to read something along the lines of;

"Be a better man than your father" or "Be a better man than your father was"

The translation that I've heard before is as follows;

"Bí níos fearr mar fhear ná d'athair"

However, recently I had one individual tell me that it was wrong...ANY input would be greatly appreciated and if there truely is no accurate verbage for my word choice a saying that reflects that meaning would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you everybody have a great day.

That looks ok to me. :zustimm:

You can possibly also say -

Bí i d'fhear níos fearr ná d'athair.
