Tattoo Translation (Nothing without effort)

Hello Everyone,

after many years of thought i have decided on a Tattoo i want to get; its a Celtic knot and underneath it i want to get an old Irish proverb "Nothing without effort". Im having troubles finding a solid translation for it, i would like it in Gaelic new or old. If anyone could help me out I would very thankfull.

Just wondering if you could say "Ní bhíonn dada gan iarracht."?
(I'm thinking of "Ní bhíonn bua gan dua.")

BTW we say "tada" in Conamara.

Meanwhile I usually say 'faic'. Is that more likely to be heard in any of the dialects or is it more neutral?

"Faic" is equally good. We say that too here.

To throw something else into the pot... What about, 'Ní bhíonn toradh gan díograis'.

I think "díograis" is more like "zeal", but the meaning is more or less the same.
