Would we not have a separate board for Name's where people want the Irish versions?

Contradicting that, is there too many different boards? is there a case for consolidating them so we get more activity in one place? For example I always go to the Learners Corner just because that topic suits me most, but I bet there are good topics going on in the others, does spelling and fonts / pronunciation need to be a separate forum?

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback, a Shomhairle.

In answer to the first suggestion, I think that is a great idea. I'll look into doing that soon.

For the second, I think that this way people can just look in one or two forums that interest them and ignore the ones that don't.

If I want to see the whole board in one place like at IGTF, I use the "View unread posts". That brings up a list like IGTF's main page, but only showing topics with posts I haven't read.

You can also do a search for "*". That will bring up everything, read and unread.

If I've read a post earlier and want to go back and answer it, "View new posts" or "View unanswered posts" will usually find it for me.

Similarly, if I'm in a hurry, I may just look at "View your posts" to see if there were any answers to things I've posted, or "View active topics" to just read the ones everybody is really actively posting in.

It may be a little hard to work out where to place a post sometimes but if people post in the "wrong" area, the mods will move the topic where they think it will get the best attention or assistance for the subject matter.

Try those tips and see if it makes things any easier. :D

Weren't we going to get a link to give us all the posts in chronological order ? :D

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

Ah yeah the unanswered post is quite good, would be cool though to see all posts in chronological order as Bríd says above

I thought _you_ were doing that.

For now:

Click on Search.

Type "*" into the search box.

Set "Display results as:" to "Topics"

Set "Sort results by:" to "Post Time" "Descending"

(If you don't want all posts since day one, then set "Limit results to previous:" to a shorter period.)

Press "Search"

Voilà.
