Hi, by popular demand, we've consolidated all our forums into one big forum like we had at IGTF.

All of your previous posts should still be accessible either by searching or by clicking on "View your posts" above.

GRMA as an phost, a Bhreandáin! For a moment I thought it was a pre-coffee hallucination! :)

Yeah, I figured it'd confuse a few people at first - especially without coffee.

That is much better ! Thanks Breandán.

And the forum rules banner has been tidied up too.
(any chance we could change that peachy colour though :bolt:  )

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

Now when I go to open the page, I'm told that forum does not exist. However, if I hit "View active topics" the site will open. Like this format much better. Not so cluttered and confusing.

I might have simplified it too much - I think having a separate "useful links" corner was useful for beginners (IGTF had a few pages like that in the side panel.)

I might add one back in ... that is, just have "Fóram" as the main forum for active topics, discussions and translations, but put the links threads in their own corner underneath it on the main page. Any thoughts?

I think this is a great suggestion. The "useful links" section was the only one I was really sorry to see go. Hopefully, the new arrangements will bring back the flock. Let's face it, the new carry-on at IGTF would encourage anyone to get the flock out of there! :bolt:

Am I the only one who misses the neatly organised categories then? :(

I think there's supposed to be a green/white/orange theme going on, like the flag. But in my browser, it's more of a fruity lime/white/peach.

No! Everything was organized when i joined, but the next morning, when i was approved, everything was all a-jumble. I imagine I shall somehow survive this grave disaster, though. It seems worth it! *grin*

I do, Mick, and I resisted as long as I could, but the regulars want what they are used to at IGTF, minus the ads.

The whole theme/style was originally shades of pink and purple. I adjusted the colours to all shades of green, but some of the buttons and icons were too hard to read green-on-green so I swapped in a few red ones as a workaround.

The orange panel for the Forum rules does not appear to be adjustable anywhere I can find. :S

It is hard to find a colour scheme that is not too dark, not too light. (There was one with lovely Celtic knotwork but in dark green and grey it looked totally gothic.) This is the "goldilocks" zone.
