Dia daoibh,

I'm reposting this in case there was anyone who hadn't seen it. While I've not spent as much time on here as I've liked (I don't think I've even posted yet, apart from this - I'm a little embarrassed by how slowly I'm learning), my professor has told me she expects me to have fifteen responses by next week. So far, I have three. If anyone wants, they can still fill this out - I don't think the questions are very intensive, and it would be a great help. Even in the three responses I do have people have had wonderful stories and interesting thoughts to tell.

This is the original post:

Hello,

My name is Meghan Furey-Moore. I am an undergraduate student in Cultural Anthropology at Warren Wilson College. I am conducting research for a project for my BA in Anthropology under the supervision of Dr. Siti Kusujiarti. I am studying the Irish language and its relation to Irish American ethnic identity. In addition to my own research into the language and into its use in the United States, I would like to ask other American Irish-language learners for their thoughts and opinions. If anyone here would like to participate by filling out a questionnaire (sent digitally), please respond to this post.

The questionnaire will be a Word file, which I will send via e-mail after sending and recieving a consent form. There will be instructions as to how to answer the questions included in the file. It should be fairly simple and uncomplicated (this is for an undergraduate thesis) and take less than thirty minutes, but you may be as brief or as detailed as you like. Please e-mail me at mfurey-moore .at. warren-wilson.edu to request a consent form or for any questions or concerns you may have.

The Warren Wilson College Institutional Review Board has reviewed and approved my request to conduct this project. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, please e-mail me at the above address. If you have any questions for my research supervisor, please e-mail Dr. Siti Kusujiarti at skusujia .at. warren-wilson.edu

Thank you for your time.

Hi, Meghan. Sorry I can't help personally as I am not American but I'll try to drum up some support from IGTF (our predecessor site).
